Chain stitch is a sewing and embroidery technique in which a series of looped stitches form a chain-like pattern. Chain stitch is an ancient craft – examples of surviving Chinese chain stitch embroidery worked in silk thread have been dated to the Warring States period (5th – 3rd century BC).[ Handmade chain stitch embroidery does not require that the needle pass through more than one layer of fabric. For this reason the stitch is an effective surface embellishment near seams on finished fabric. Induction motors are the most commonly used prime mover for various equipment’s in industrial applications. In induction motors, the induced magnetic fIeld of the stator winding induces a current in the rotor. This induced rotor current produces a second magnetic fIeld, which tries to oppose the stator magnetic fIeld and this causes the rotor to rotate. The 3-phase squirrel cage motor is the workhorse of industry; it is rugged and reliable and is by far the most common motor type used in industry. These motors drive pumps, blowers and fans, compressors, conveyers and production lines. The 3-phase induction motor has three windings each connected to a separate phase of the powers .
All the sewing machines used in RMG industries are driven by induction motors. These motors run continuously after start till end almost with the same speed in no-load as well as full load system. As a result the motors consume power both in no-load and in load condition. Usually the motor is not equipped with any such system which can reduce power consumption in no-load but it is possible by using an automatic switching circuit that provide different paths for noload and load conditions of the motor to the supply source. We will develop such a scheme that can save power under no-load condition and improve overall effIciency of the sewing machines.
