As the non sustainable sources are quickly diminishing and the request is expanding continuously, the solution to this problem is solar based energy. Hence this project work takes the benefit of sunlight energy as input which is free and plentiful, and it is exceedingly advantageous and inexpensive to numerous household and industrial applications. This paper presents the mathematical models of the components of PV module, MPPT control unit, Boost converter in MATLAB software and the yield of PV panel is fed to the sewing machine DC motorTailoring is one of the most important livelihoods in India. Manual sewing machines were used by traditional tailors who generally serve local customers in small cities and villages. To strive on the existing market and to gain higher productivity some of them have modified their machines by retrofitting the motor. However, in rural areas with few or no grid availability, it is difficult to meet the growing demands. Hence solar is an ideal solution for micro generation for peoples in villages and for tailors in small cities. So this project work uses solar energy for generation of electricity which will be fed to motor of sewing machine. Solar panel is the input energy and the output terminals of it are fed to the controller circuit. A storage device i.e. battery is used to store the charges of solar panel and the two output terminals of battery are connected to the charge controller to get good efficient solar operation. The pedal controller is connected to the charge controller. Pedal controllermonitors the speed of the motor. Hence we can say solar panel, battery and pedal controller are simultaneously connected to the MPPT controller unit. Motor of sewing machine is connected to the pedal controller. In this way the solar panel is use to run sewing machinePhotovoltaic change is the immediate transformation of daylight into power without mediating heat engine. They are strong state devices and henceforth they are tough and fundamental in design and require next to no upkeep. When exposed to the sunlight, a solar board essentially is a p-n semiconductor junction which generates DC current [7]. The maximum power point tracking concept is generally use for extracting highest power point available from PV module. MPPT method is utilized to enhance the productivity of the solar panels. MPPT techniques are of different types which includes Fuzzy Logic Method, Perturb and observe (P&O), Incremental conductance method, Constant voltage Method. Among the above techniques, P&O algorithm is the most simplest one hence this technique is used for controlling the step-up converters duty(D), D is calculated and converted to digital pulses using repeating sequence, sum and compare to zero block[1]. In this technique power yield of system is checked by changing the input solar voltage. The nth sample indicates the present value and (n-1)th indicates previous value. If the voltage value increments on increment in power value then the duty cycle value should be decreased otherwise duty should increase. Another condition is if the voltage value increments on decrement in power value then the duty cycle should increase otherwise duty should decrease
